Who is My-Cherie Haley?

I am an Artist of many mediums. My daily mantra, “Do what you love, love what you do,” keeps the blood flowing through my veins.

I will never forget the first time I took a leap of faith and decided to follow my heart and move from my small hometown in South Carolina to the big city of Atlanta, Georgia. My goal was to pursue my dream of becoming a model and actress or whatever the universe had in store for me. When I got to Atlanta, I was invited to join a couture runway-model group by a close friend of mine.

I had no idea what I was getting in to. It was my first time walking down one of the longest runways ever and, on top of that, everyone was watching me. Prior to this, I pretended to walk down a runway plenty of times in front of my mirror at home, but this was different. I was stepping outside of my comfort zone.

The other seasoned models, women and men, were fierce on the catwalk. They were confident, polished and full of charisma. I felt like a tiny little fish in a big pond, nervous about swimming across murky waters. I was tall and skinny, but no one ever taught me how to walk, and I definitely wasn’t sure I could make it down the runway without wiping out in my heels.

Long story short, I made it to the end of that very long runway, and my friend, along with the other models on the sidelines were cheering me on every step of the way. After that, I kept going back every Sunday afternoon. Eventually I gained my confidence on the runway. I ended up modeling and traveling with that group for some time.

That was over fifteen years ago. Since then, I have had a successful and exciting career in the modeling and acting industry in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, Greece, Atlanta and throughout the state of Texas. I’ve walked the runway for well-noted designers such as, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani and Oscar De La Renta. Some of my film and print credits include Jerry Bruckheimer’s “Remember the Titans,” and Ebony, Essence, Black Enterprise and Parenting magazine. TV Commercial credits include JC Penney, Claritin, Huggies and Time Warner Cable.

Now that I am a mother of two, I feel that it is my responsibility as a parent to make sure that my children are equipped for the future and that they are impacting this world in a positive way. I share this wisdom and responsibility with other talented children as well.

My job is to work alongside the moms and/or parents and to be a resource of information. Providing you with advice and information about the modeling and entertainment industries, helping you make the right choices, while keeping your best interests in mind.
